PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE WITH ANTICIPATED OPENING
Designed to protect pumping stations against excess pressure whilst pumps are in service (pressure relief) or when pumps are halted due to switch-off or electrical power failure.
The valve is usually mounted in a bypass of the transport line.
The under pressure wave created by the stoppage, sensed by the pilot opens the main valve at a rate of opening adjusted by an hydraulic device to discharge the over pressure wave into the atmosphere or into the suction tank.
When the pump is restarted the normal condition of pressure provide the normal operation of valve.
Range of standard pilot valve:
• 1.4 - 12.0 bar
on request:
• 0.5 - 2.0 bar
• 7.0 - 21.0 bar
